Obituary for Margaret "Peeky" Miller Pleninger
Margaret “Peeky” Miller Pleninger
11-16-1948 – 1-27-2021
Peeky was born November 16, 1948 to Leo and Estaleda Miller at the Roundup Hospital. She grew up in
a few small towns in Montana, mostly in Musselshell. It was in Belfry that she met James Brown and
they married in 1966. There were 2 children born to this marriage, Jimmy and Wendy. They later
divorced and she raised them the only way she knew how, which was with huge amounts of love and a
lot of humor.
Peeky worked at various jobs through her life but it was when she worked in the laundry department at
Roundup Memorial Hospital that she went to school and became an X-Ray Tech. She stayed at Roundup
Hospital until her children were raised and then she moved to Hardin and worked at the hospital there.
In the 90’s she met the love of her life, Les Pleninger and they married on August 28th, 1999. They
enjoyed 21 years of marriage doing everything from camping and fishing to tearing up the hills on their
snowmobiles or four wheelers. They spent the remainder of their life together on their place outside of
Park City.
The most important thing in Peeky’s life was her family. She was the village for her children and their
friends and then for her grandchildren and their friends. She was mom or grandma to many through her
life, blood or not. If you needed a shoulder to cry on, a hug, a laugh or a scolding she delivered without
question.
Peeky was preceded in death by her mom and dad. Her sisters Diana Webb and Sue Bothman and her
brother Donald Miller, and her mother and father-in-law Martha and Stan Pleninger.
She leaves behind her husband Les Pleninger, her son Jimmy Brown and daughter Wendy (Bud) Brown,
additional children Scott (Heather) Pleninger, Charlie Pleninger, and Danielle Pleninger. Her
grandchildren Randee (Jesse) Wells, Christopher (Miranda) Brown, Jenna (Shane) Bayers, Kendra Brown,
Elijah Brown, Hailey Carner, Sherami (John) Brown, Brady, Cadence, Phillip and Gage Pleninger. She has
4 great grandchildren Zaidyn, Lyla, Izzy and Brynlee.
She also leaves behind her sister Trina (Bill) Moore and her brother Dean (Jeri) Miller, brothers in law
Robert (Carol), Steve (Becky), Calvin (Sue) Pleninger and Eddie Webb. Numerous nieces, nephews and their spouses and children.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. February 6th, 2021 at Wier Funeral Home in Roundup, followed by a
short graveside service at the Musselshell Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon served
at the Musselshell school immediately after.
