Obituary for William Claude Perkins
William Claude (Bill) Perkins, 74, passed peacefully on March 2, 2017 due to natural causes. He was surrounded by his loving wife, daughters, and son along with his lifelong friends. Bill was born on March 14, 1942 in Roundup, MT to William B. and Mary Perkins. Bill grew up in Roundup and attended school through the 10th grade. He joined the military in 1960 where he received his GED. He enlisted in the Army and served until 1962. He married the love of his life, Vera (Jeannie) Perkins on October 11, 1964. In 1968, they went to Cut Bank to visit his in-laws and decided to stay. Bill worked in the oilfields and water well Drilling. He then went to work for Stordahl Excavation. He also worked for the refinery and Strand Construction. Later he worked for Alme Construction until he was forced to retire due to his health. Bill was a member of the Cut Bank Moose Lodge, Eagles Club and was a member of the VFW. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. Up until a few years ago you could find him woodworking and tinkering in his garage. He started his own lawn mowing business which he did with so much pride. He especially loved spending time with family, friends, grandkids and great grandkids. He had a sense of humor like none other which will greatly be missed by so many.
Bill is survived by his loving wife (Jeannie) of 52 years, children Kari Lynn (Charles), Connie Sue and Billy. Grandchildren Katie (Tommy), Ashley & Brandon. Great-grandchildren Thomas, Callie, Keelie, Breanna, Blake William & Landon Lee William. His family meant the world to him. He is survived by his siblings Herbert Jr (Myrna), Mary Ellen Warner & Shirley (Brad) Marking. He is survived by many numerous family members. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Perkins, his sisters Gloria Markos, Claudia Lang & his brothers Donnie, Tony and Robert. He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Megan Perkins.
