Obituary for Sharon Jane Treible
Sharon Treible, 73, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2019 with her loving husband, children, and grandchildren by her side. Sharon was born on January 09, 1946 in Roundup, Montana to Clarence and Dorothy Krause. She grew up in Sumatra, raised by her grandparents, Jess and Hazel Houston, along the Old Milwaukee railroad. She was forever fond of the sound of the passing trains. After graduating from Sumatra High School, Sharon married the love of her life, Orville Treible, on May 29, 1964 at the Congregational Church in Musselshell and they spent the next 55 years together. Together, they raised five children, first on a ranch near Musselshell, later, on a ranch north of Big Timber. While living in Big Timber, Sharon worked at several area businesses including the Frosty Freeze where she made baked goods and The Fort, where she greeted every customer with a warm hello.
Sharon was a caring, compassionate, quick-witted mother; devoted to her husband and children and always ready to go make memories with them. Sharon loved being a wife and mother, taking great joy in raising chickens, canning, baking, cooking, and watching her five children grow. Sharon treasured all living things, except for squirrels; she loved caring for her flowers and watching birds feed outside her window. She loved crocheting and every baby who was born received a crocheted afghan and then received another for their wedding. She had a knack for seasoning soup just right, for baking treats, and making her family feel loved and cared for.
In 2003, Sharon and Orville moved to Hysham, Montana so she could be closer to her mother who lived in Forsyth. From there, Sharon watched numerous grandchildren graduate high school, get married, and begin having their own children. She remembered all the birthdays and anniversaries with a card or a phone call, or both. Even as her health declined, Sharon looked forward to every family celebration and gathering, including the latest in Hysham last June.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Krause and Dorothy Clifton and is survived by her husband, Orville Treible; stepfather, Ed Clifton; brothers Brian Clifton and Dennis Krause; sister, Jodene Clifton-Rainford; children Sheresa (Soot) Treible, Winn (Caitlin) Treible, Shawna (Leonard) Wombolt, Sheila (Jeff) Green, and Sonya (Mark) Norem; grandchildren Brooke (Gary) Hackworth, Brandon Gregorich, Bailey (Patrick) Mason, Nichole (Chris) Gershik, Kelsi (Gregory) Indreland, Skylar (Jeremy) Federer, Lexy Plaggemeyer, Shiann (Mathew) Hilzendeger, Drue Kissler, and Riley Treible as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Sharon will be at Wier Funeral Home in Roundup on October 17th at 11:00 a.m. with internment services to follow in Musselshell and a luncheon at the Musselshell school.
