Obituary for Pearl Marie Burton
�� �� ��Pearl Marie Burton, 98, of Musselshell, died Thursday, January 21, at Roundup Memorial Healthcare following hospitalization for heart problems. She was born January 2, 1918 in Musselshell to Margaret and Mathew Miller. �� �� ��Pearl married Owen Burton of Musselshell on January 31, 1939 and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. They lived in Musselshell until 1954 when they moved to Circle where they both worked at the school. After retiring from the school in Circle, Owen and Pearl moved back to Musselshell where they drove the rural mail route. �� �� ��Pearl loved pinochle and went to Melstone every Wednesday evening to join friends for her favorite game of cards. She also enjoyed playing cribbage with her sons and her grandchildren whenever she could. Yahtzee was another of her favorite pastimes and I am sure we all remember the dough gods she made. �� �� ��Pearl is survived by her son Richard (Lynne) of Idaho; daughters-in-law, Jennie of Musselshell and Donna of Oregon, grandchildren Ronna, Randi, Renee, Kirk, Kim, Kelly, Luke, Connie, Cory, Chadra many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren Her sister Dorothy McCaffree and sister-in-law Willena Burton. �� �� ��Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Owen and two sons, David and Dwight. �� �� ��There will be a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 p.m., ��Tuesday, Jan. 26 ��at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Musselshell Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Musselshell School. Wier Funeral Home of Roundup is in charge of arrangements.��
