Obituary for Patricia Loree Robertson

Patricia Loree Goddard Robertson was born in Columbus, MT on St. Patrick’s Day in 1954. She was the fifth and last child born to W. K. Goddard and Lulu Goddard. Pat was much younger than most of her siblings, which put her in a unique position. Instead of growing up with them, she grew up with her nephews, nieces, and cousins. They were a loud happy group of kids and whether Pat wanted to be or not, she became the leader of the pack. When Pat was in her late teens, she met Tom at a church ice skating party. There was little chance that they would start to date. He insulted her, he was a high school teacher from Jordan, and she was a junior in high school. Things changed when they met again while he was painting a friend’s house, dating led to an engagement, and Pat and Tom Robertson were married in December of 1973. After the wedding, Pat followed Tom to Browning and then to Plevna, and finally to Massachusetts so he could get his master’s degree at the University of New Hampshire. She enjoyed all her adventures, but the one to New England she liked the most.

Shortly after returning Tom found a job in Roundup. They moved there and started their family. They raised their son Justin and daughter Amanda there. When their kids were small, Pat baby sat and liked to volunteer. Later, she decided to go to work. She started work at the Roundup Hospital as a CNA. Her friend Carol Hansen then taught her X-rays. She worked at the hospital then at the clinic at the same time. From there her friend

Diane Newman trained her to b a medical records coder. She loved all her jobs in Roundup and found them exciting.

She had multiple surgeries with no improvement. She eventually became disabled and went into a wheelchair. Tom stayed by her side and later their daughter came to help as well. This summer her organs started shutting down. She went into the hospital in July and passed away with her daughter by her side. Though we take comfort with the knowledge that Pat is out of pain, she is extremely missed.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Diana, and brothers Pete and Tom. She is survived by her husband Tom Robertson of Roundup, her daughter Amanda of Roundup, her son Justin Robertson (Jody) of Colorado Springs, her sister Janet Goddard of Billings, grandson Rayne, grand-daughters Makayla Robertson Rust, and Taylor Robertson, great-grandchildren Ari, Evren and Kerin Rust.
