Obituary for Marlene E. Kiel
Marlene E. Kiel, 84, of Roundup, MT, passed away at the RiverStone Health Hospice House on December 13, 2015.
Marlene was a retired school teacher who taught grade school students in Fromberg and Billings, Montana. She also taught at Head Start in the late 1960’s. After many years at home caring for her children, she went back to work through Experienced Work. This gave her much joy because she was able to work with Head Start again, this time in Roundup. She retired, reluctantly, when she turned 80.
Marlene was living at Homes on the Range, in Roundup, and had been involved with the Residents Committee, and the Board until just recently. When Marlene was driving, she was always available to help out with transportation for others who needed it.
Marlene was married to Howard Hall, who passed away on August 16, 1968. She later married Edward Kiel on May 2, 1970.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Sadie Hafer; husband, Edward Kiel; brother, Daniel Hafer; infant son, Anthony Hall; son, Thomas Hall; and grandson, Nicholas Turner.
Marlene is survived by her sister, Joyce Furgason; daughter, Linda Turner; son, Andrew Kiel (Heidi); step daughters, Ida Maciel (John), Betty Gribble (Larry), Jean Fahrenbruck (Carl), grandchildren, Jesse Seward (Stacy), Sadie Turner, Tanner Cortez, and Taylor Kiel. She is also survived by many other wonderful relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2016 at Wier Funeral Home.
Please make any donations to the RiverStone Health Hospice House.
Marlene was loved by so many and will be missed very much.
