Obituary for Karen Agnes Romick
Karen Agnes Hagstrom Romick lost her long battle with Cancer, peacefully at home on December 17th 2017 @ the age of 62. Karen was born in Roundup, MT on June 4, 1955 daughter of Clifford and Agnes Hagstrom. She graduated from RHS in 1973. Karen married her best friend and love of her life, Chuck Romick on Sept. 26, 1975. They moved to Nebraska, where they had two beautiful children Christopher and Melissa. Karen and Chuck returned to Roundup in the early Eighties. Karen worked as a waitress at the Tastee Freez for many years before she began her career at RHS, where she had many titles over the years, the one she loved most was “Grandma Karen”. Karen had 24 wonderful years at RHS, she loved her “RHS family”, and being the kids #1 fan. Karen’s pride and joy was her four Granddaughters Addison, Morgan, Taeleigh and Kylee.
Karen was preceded in death by the love of her life, Chuck and her parents, Cliff and Agnes Hagstrom. She is survived by her son Chris (Jen and daughter Taeleigh), daughter Melissa Tilley (Rich, daughters Addison, Morgan and Kylee), her seven brothers; Bill, Dave, Bob, Tom, Henry, Rich and Joe Hagstrom, her four sisters; Sis (Betty) McAlpine, Mary Sparr, Susan Hewett, and Patsy Updegraff, their families, her RHS family, and her two very best friends Cindy Donnes and Debbie Thomas.
Services will be held Saturday, December 23rd at 10:00 am. St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Roundup MT. The family invites all of Karen’s friends to a luncheon that will be served at the Roundup High School gym immediately following the service.
Memorials can be made to the “Do More Romick” student fund at RHS or to a charity of your choice.
