Obituary for Judith Karlene Johnson
Karlene Johnson passed away with family by her side on August 19, 2017, in Billings, Montana.
She was born to Carl and Henrietta Whitt, in Charleston, West Virginia, on February 8, 1939. When she was 3 or 4 the family moved to San Diego, California, where she stayed and graduated high school. After high school, she married Leslie (Butch) Southworth in California, from this union they had a son, Craig. She later divorced, Butch.
At a later date, she married Vic Johnson, and that marriage resulted in a divorce. Karlene moved to Roundup, Montana in 1978, and stayed here to the end of her life. During this time she worked at All Season's Hardware, Bartow Welding, Inc., and received at 20 year bus aide award before her retiring from the Roundup School Systems.
Preceding Karlene in death, were her parents, one daughter, Marcy Jean, and one of her late husband's, Butch Southworth.
Surviving family include her son, Craig Southworth, of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter in law, Bonnie Smith; grand-daughters, Dusti Southworth of Roundup, Montana, Shyanne Southworth of San Diego, California; great grandchildren, Lucas Smith, Shyanne Smith, and Keelei Holmes of Roundup, Montana, Catherine Swope of San Diego, California. Karlene loved to read and spend lots of time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
