Pastor Joshua T. Jett went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ very peacefully on June 10th. He will be remembered for his love for preaching, his love for people, his undying faithfulness to God, and his service to the people of Roundup, Montana. He began God’s work in Roundup in 1999 when he started Mercy Baptist Church. He continued to pastor the church until his passing. He started Cat Creek Bible Camp in 2002, where he continued to impact the lives of young people both in Roundup and the surrounding communities. He also enjoyed fishing with his wife, hunting with fellow preachers, and building things with his grandchildren.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend, and most importantly – a true Man of God.
Joshua is survived by his wife, Lorie of 43 years, his father Robert Sr., his brothers Robert Jr. (Beth) and Milan (Tonya), his children, Stephanie (Daniel), Lydia (Luke), and Joseph (Kaitty), and his ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Joda, his sister Deborah, brother Joseph Anthony, & two grandchildren.
Joshua was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 1963 to Robert Sr. and Joda Jett. He met Lorie Dellinger in Middle School and later married on February 14, on Valentine's Day in 1982. On December 18th of 1988, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He faithfully pastored Mercy Baptist Church of Roundup, Montana for 25 years.
