Jay Bryant Adamson
July 3, 1960 – January 2, 2022
Jay was born in Galveston, Texas to Wilson Eugene Adamson and Jewel Joyce Adamson.
He was the second of four children. He was raised in New Mexico and loved to restore old cars and ride Harleys. He met the love of his life Dawn Michelle (Shelly) in a convenience store where she worked and a month later, he proposed. They were married May 15, 2000. Dawn came to this marriage with the bonus of her son Chad. Jay loved and adored this boy and said he was so happy to have the chance to be a dad to Chad.
Jay loved driving truck. He tells the story of his first job he had. His dad got him the job of driving a truck hoping he would hate it and he would continue his education. He said he fell in love with it and never stopped. He has seen most of this country driving.
Jay was involved in helping his Church and would help anyone who needed it. Jay knew no strangers and would strike up a conversation with anyone around. He loved old cars and would talk about all of the ones he had owned over the years. He also loved robots and collected many over the years.
Jay was preceded in death by his son Chad, his wife Shelly, and his mother Jewel Joyce Adamson (Gibson).
Jay is survived by his Father Wilson Eugene Adamson, Brothers Randy Eugene, and Karl Avery all of New Mexico and sister Rose Lynn (Webb) from Arkansas. Also, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
