Obituary for Donald Frederick Calvert
Donald Frederick Calvert was called to his home in heaven on Friday November 8th, 2019. He passed suddenly at home while enjoying a beautiful morning with the love of his life, Melody Ann Calvert.
Donald was born on October 19, 1947 in Cambridge, Ohio to Norma Jean and Robert Rex Calvert. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1965. He then moved to Chicago at the age of 17, enrolling in Devry Institute of Technology, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering. He had a very driven spirit and found success in several different business ventures, ending with the sale of his heating and air conditioning business in Florida. He then retired to the town of Roundup, Montana.
He married the love of his life, Melody Ann Calvert, on July 8, 1967. Don and Melody were blessed with 2 children, Faith Ann and Donald Rex. He was a dedicated husband and father, always stressing the importance and value of family above all else. He carried this on in how he loved and mentored his 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Donald had a great passion for music and loved to sing and play his guitar. He enjoyed being outdoors and going horseback riding. He was an avid and life long fan of the Chicago Bears. His greatest joys came from living his life with Melody and making memories with his family.
Donald is survived by his wife, Melody Calvert, daughter Faith Ann (Brian) Hanger, son Donald Rex (Kari) Calvert, brother, Mark Calvert, five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Calvert, mother, Norma Jean Kerr, stepfather, Richard Kerr, and sister, Melanie Calvert.
