Obituary for Dawn Michelle Adamson
Dawn (Shelly) Michelle Facemire Adamson was born May 26, 1964, in Bloomington, Indiana to Elizabeth and Charles Facemire and was a devoted mother and wife. She passed away suddenly at home in Roundup, Montana on May 25, 2018.
Shelly attended multiple schools in the United States as her parents travelled with work. She graduated from high school in Mesa, Arizona.
In 1992, Shelly gave birth to Chad Allen Gardner, in Indian River, Florida. She deeply loved her son. They would spend time camping and going on trips. Chad passed away March 25, 2010.
Shelly met her soul mate, Jay Adamson, in 2000, three weeks before Valentine's Day, in a convenience store in Deming, New Mexico while he was working cow pens. She always told everyone that it was convenient that she had worked in a convenience store because that is where she met Jay. Thirty days later Jay proposed and they were married in a courthouse gazebo in Palomas, Mexico the 15th of May, 2000. One year later they celebrated a marriage ceremony in Deming, New Mexico. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Billings Montana Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
Shelly had served in various callings in the church and was devoted to serving her family, friends, and neighbors. She was currently a teacher in the Relief Society Organization.
Shelly studied photography and it was a cherished hobby. She also crafted unique handmade dolls and was talented at cake decorating. Shelly worked in assorted professions, including being a nanny in Boston, Massachusetts, and ran a bakery in Madison, Indiana. She also substitute taught in the Roundup School system and was currently employed with Northern Treasures Thrift store in Roundup.
Shelly was preceded in death by her son Chad, her father Charles Facemire, and sister Lea Yoder.
Shelly is survived by her husband, Jay of Roundup, her mother Elizabeth Facemire of Vevay, Indiana, sister Shauna Zorn of Vevay, Indiana, brothers Tony (Connie) Facemire of Hawaii, Chris (Kathy) Facemire of Greenville, Ohio, Mike (Teena) Facemire of Tucson, Arizona and Mark (Kate) Facemire of Gilbert, Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved.
Funeral services are being held June 2, 2018 at the Roundup Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 1300 5th Street West, Roundup, Montana. Burial will be at the Roundup City Cemetery.
