Obituary for Charlotte Ann Sibley

Charlotte Ann Sibley age 86 passed away on April 14, 2023 in Roundup Montana. She was born Charlotte Ann Doty in Phillipstown, Illinois on May 30, 1936. She graduated High School in Crossville Illinois in 1953. After High school Charlotte married James Norman Sibley and they began raising a family together.

Charlotte and her husband James moved to Roundup with their family in 1974 for James to work in the oil field. As well as staying busy caring for her growing family. She worked outside of the home driving a School Bus for 27 years. She also spent some time working in a bank. Charlotte was an active member of her church and served as Sunday School teacher, conducting Christmas programs and forming a youth choir. She loved music and loved to sing. She either had a saying or a song for almost any occasion or situation. She sang in her church choir and played both the piano and the organ. Charlotte was a straight shooter and wasn’t afraid to tell it like she seen it. She was witty and didn’t know a stranger.

Charlotte was also an active member of The Eastern Star and held many chairs within the organization including that of Worthy Matron. Her husband shared with her in her involvement as a Worthy Patron.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Esther Doty, her husband James Norman, her brother Jerry and step daughters Brenda and Margie. She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Dooley, Bayfield Colorado, Verda Meyers, Kankakee Illinois, and Lorna Gabbert, Peoria Illinois. Her son Lon Sibley, his wife Robin and their daughter Erika. She is also survived by her daughter Sondra Wade and her daughters Misty and Marquinn. She is survived by 4 great grandchildren, Pippa, Jake, Grace and Everly. And many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Sunflower Gardens for all of the help and care that they provided. If desired friends may make a Memorial contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A memorial service will be held at a later time in Illinois.
