Celia Delia Chilton
(May 21, 1938 – June 12, 2025)
Celia Delia (Ryan) Chilton, age 87, of Billings, Montana passed away on June 12, 2025 with family. Celia was born on May 21, 1938, in Roundup, Montana and was loved by all who knew her.
Celia met the love of her life, Wayne Chilton while he was working in Roundup, Montana. They were married in 1958. They had 4 children together during their 67 years of marriage.
Celia was born and raised on the Ryan Ranch near Roundup, Montana. She loved spending time with her parents, William M Ryan and Noreine (Murphy) Ryan. In addition, she dearly loved and thought the world of her twin sister Delia and her three older sisters: Mary, Alice, and Helen.
Celia had a real passion for the ranch and training her horses. She and her sister Delia performed at the annual 4th of July Rodeo in Roundup, Montana as the Ryan Twins to show off their trick horses. She also greatly loved her shitzu dogs including: Poohie, Chubs, Spunky, and Suga.
As Celia moved into her later years in life, she found her true calling and passion to own and run the Twin Cubs Motel in the Billings, Heights. She spent most of her time at the motel, which she loved every single day. The only other place that she loved spending time at as much as the motel was her family cabin in Virginia City.
Celia was a wonderful person. She always spoke her mind and told you honestly what she thought. Celia’s unconditional love and generosity knew no bounds and if you were one of the many blessed to know and be loved by Celia; if you needed something, she was going to make sure that you had it.
Celia was incredibly proud of her children: Patricia (Steve), Dwayne (Linda), Randy (Chris), and Bill (Christy); along with her 6 grandchildren: Cory (Catherine), Jake, Brenna (Joey), Shae (Matt), Billy (Amber), and Beau (Safra). Her family always brought her great joy and she was so happy to have had the opportunity to love and be a part of their lives, including her great-grandchildren: Gunner, Gus, Rip, Riggs, and Kellen.
Celia is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
A viewing will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 12:00pm with the Funeral Liturgy to follow at 1:00pm, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
