Adrian Foss, the “Sweet Swede” to some and “Frosty” to others, was born near Foley, Minnesota in 1942. As a young man, Adrian relocated to California for employment and subsequently enlisted in the Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged, he began his career as a carpenter, a profession he perfected, and worked at until his retirement. Adrian returned to Minnesota and formed Foss Construction, a successful contracting firm he managed until his retirement in 2000. Upon retirement, Adrian and Carol, his life partner of 34 years, traveled the country and eventually settled “somewhere in the middle of Montana”, the “big city” of Melstone. Adrian was an avid fisherman, held a pilot’s license, was a master carpenter and woodworker and genuine friend to all who had the pleasure to know him. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother. Adrian is survived by Carol Wendling, one brother and sister-in-law, two sisters, five sons and 10 grandchildren. A celebration of Adrian’s life will be held at the Melstone Café on Sunday the 21st of May from 3-5 PM.
In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to the Melstone Fire Department or the Melstone EMT Service.
